Looking for some place unique, peaceful, and absolutely lovely to take mom today? Show Mom how special she is by taking her to a special place: the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens.
Picturesque, historic, and scented wonderfully by blooming lilacs, these gardens are as relaxing and serene as they are beautiful. I never knew there were so many different types and colors of lilacs! Docent-led tours of the historic house are available. There’s also a gift shop.
Located in Woodland, Washington, this place is so cool. But you have to be quick. The gardens are at their peak when the lilacs are in full bloom. And that only lasts but a few brief weeks each year. In fact, Lilac Days 2019 are April 20 to Mothers’ Day, May 12.
The Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens are nonprofit botanical gardens specializing in lilacs, located at 115 South Pekin Road, Woodland, Washington. The gardens are located about 30 minutes north of Portland, Oregon and 2-1/2 hours south of Seattle, Washington.
The gardens are open 10:00am–4:00pm daily; a $3.00 admission fee is charged. For directions, click here.
Happy Mother’s Day!
